A tip when dealing with large systems, and you cant quite remember where everything is. Is to keep FLE running, while activating the mod. Do not edit, but you can use it as a kind of interactive map. It also make it quicker to edit, because you do not need to keep jumping back and forth opening and closing it.

A speed mod is also handy to have, to explore alot faster as well as a notepad to tick off the problems you find.

--------Stage Three--------

Notice anything in your new system ? yup theres NO names / infocards. Thats why we have a custom / empty .dll. This will go later. We have more important things to do... back up and add more stuff!

Ok just go into your modmanager directory then click on "mods". Youll see tutorialsystem. Just right zip that file. See below for XP users.

--------Stage Four--------

Ok back to it. this is what your system sould look like.

Thats two annoying problems weve got there. Disable to the mod, close down FLserver.exe and open up FLE. Then choose yes again, then click on Tutorial System. Then press ok. Then right click on tutorial system and click EDIT. Here we are again.

Ok so here is how to fix them. Firstly the one of the right, yea it looks like.... well you know.

Ok we can change that by changing the background template... yea its on Li04. So well have to change that. Ie below.

ok one down another to go.

Notice the colour is two yellow, we want it more white. So well go to the same screen, and just change it to something lighter.

Tip : Use DEFINE CUSTOM COLOUR.

Apply the changes (File->Applychanges/update mod)

Ok now lets go and test. Activate mod, loadup FLserver.exe from the EXE file of Microsoft Games. Then just test ;)

Thats better no?

Ok next its time to get a base in there...... wait! weve gotta back it up!. Call it Tutorial 1.1 :) Sometimes I have as many as eleven back ups of one system. Only deleting them once the system is 100% finished. You never know, once I had all ten back ups currupt on me !

Anyways....

Here we go. Into FLE same as always. Remembering of course to disable and shutdown FLserver.exe

It will then ask you to name your .dll say NO again. And then it will ask you to step up trading, equipment etc options. Say NO children!

Ok then, once youve made them the same options as me, and youve added the changes lets go and test!

Ok now its here...lol but it has no equipment, commodities, etc. So well go and add that. Make a back up of Tutorial 1.2 And lets continue. Making backups is a good habit to get into. Annoying maybe at first, and it takes up alot of space when dealing with big files. If you have a fast CDburner perhaps burn them onto CD Rewrites?. Anyways...

Open up FLE as usual and follow the pictures below.

More equipment, ships, etc can be added, but I dont have time and this is only an example. Anyways Test it and things should all be in order.

Ok now where on the last bit, the .dll. Yes giving things names.
